Why is my lcd showing a dim light after replacement

So I replaced my lcd on my iPad 4 everything seem to went well the first time but I noticed parts of the screen wasn't working so I took it apart again but this time when I reassembled it the lcd turned on but it was a dim black light and it wasn't showing no picture I'm not sure what to do please help

Did you turn off the iPad when unplugging the LCD and replugging it?

I'm not 100% sure if unplugging the battery is required as well.

No I didn't completely turn it off but I did a hard reset and that still did not solve the problem

So right now it is showing no display but a dim backlight around the screen or something along the lines of that? Could be backlight fuse(s) blown or if unlucky LCD ribbon cable gone bad.
