Why won't my controller work after absorbing shock?

I bought a controller about a month ago. I got mad today, and today hit my controller against my left hand 3 times. After that, it won't turn on or even light up. New batteries don't help. What's wrong?

Ow! My hand hurts now! I tried to get mine to do it so I could find the problem, but my controllers won't stop working.
