Charlotte the spider made a home in my Mac's display!

Behind the front glass of my iMac 5K 27'' Late 2014 there is a tiny spider crawling to and fro! I wonder where this poor animal found its way inside the screen?

How can I set it free? Will any repair of this kind be covered by the garantee??

Hans

Did Charlotte write anything with her web? ;-}

The display is a factory sealed unit. There's no means to open the assembly to get to the spider or clean up the mess it left.

Yes, it should be covered under Apple extended warranty. You'll need to bring the system into an Apple Store for service.

I have two mosquitoes trapped in my display as well. What would be the best way to approach this problem before removing the bezel ? Any one here had a similar experience ?

Unfortunately the previous answer can't count as a helpful one since " Take it to an apple store" is not the kind of solution we come looking for at ifixit.com

The only solution to fix it yourself would be to replace the whole screen (£300+) if it is a newer iMac. The glass and LCD are stuck together, like iPhone screens, but there is no way to separate an iMac screen and rebond it (can only be done on older iMacs. Unless you want to spend £300 on a new screen assembly, I would just take it to Apple.
