cassandra, Bare mattress material pretty slippery, try putting a fitted cotton sheet on the bare mattress, then the mattress topper, then another fitted sheet, holds pretty good. Other methods are carpet tape(2 sided tape), sheet garter(corner-elastics at the dollar store), anti slip mats for under carpet or as drawer liners also found dollar store,hardware stores,etc. cut a couple into wide strips and place between pad and mattress at corners and middle perimeter.

@decodiva67 really not much you can do about it. If it is really bothersome I'd go with some wide industrial strength Velcro between the topper and the mattress.
