Tv was on and working fine. Then a loud pop and the tv quit and will not turn on. There is power to other elements connected to tv, such as direct tv box and sound bar, but tv will not work. The tv is only about 4 years old.

Usually a pop is a capacitor blowing or a fuse. Giving us the model number will help to find your exact machine. I would open it up a visually inspect it for blow fuses, burned spots swollen capacitors. Use a multimeter to check for continuity on any thing suspicious.

Hello. Can you help me? I also have a problem with my Samsung plasma TV. It made a loud tickling sound and shut down. Now it won't turn on again. The red light on the side is blinking when I plug it. Thanks
