The replacement screen and digitizer full assemble from IFIXIT has a round '+' sticker in the lower left hand side, next to the home button hole. What is the sticker for? Should it be removed before reassemble?

It should be safe to remove the sticker. I think it just shows you what type of screwdriver to use.

You can let it there. It is a sign of the seller of this diplay unit, in this case it is the logo of iFixIt ;)
Other seller use other stickers or signs to identify their stuff in case of claims.

Where is this sticker? You need to provide an image of what you are talking about

A picture would help but unless it is in the way of assembly it would be best left alone, assuming it is on the back side of the screen. If it is on the front (the side you will be looking at while using the phone) then it should be safe to remove it.
