2 Why is my handset's speaker making a static/crackling noise?
My handset is getting a static/crackling noise that makes it hard to hear whoever I'm talking to.

If you have distorted audio over your handset, try adjusting the volume to a lower setting. Having the volume at the max setting may overwork the speaker and cause distortion. If that doesn't help, try moving closer to the home base to avoid proximity issues.
