Why won't my laptop screen turn on?
I know my laptop is fully charged and boots up, as the power light is on, but my screen remains black and doesn't turn on. Is there a way to fix this?

If your screen isn't turning on, there could be a couple of problems that are causing it. Check to restart your computer one more time to make sure it truly is not responding and doesn't have a battery issue.
If that doesn't fix the problem, you will need to manually enable or disable your screen to make it responsive again.
Take a look at the Sony Vaio VPCW21FX troubleshooting page and see if that solves your problem.

the back light may be out. shine a flashlight on it and see if you can see the image in background. if so light is out.
