What's wrong with my Blendtec Blender?
My blender only runs for about 2-3 seconds. It's supposed to run for 2-3 mins. And it stops after 2 seconds and says "overload". Is it because of the speed sensor or the carbon brush?

Hi, the problem is in the blenders rotor, it's shorted out. I can fix it for you if you have it.

Francisco Aguila, what a great idea. How about you fix one and make a guide from it. Post it on ifixit, so we can all learn how to fix our blenders.
Hi Fransisco - where are you based? I have the same issue... would be interested in a repair as the blender only has 50 cycles on it!
Try removing the bottom cover. Sometimes the cooling fan blade comes loose and the blender will overheat and shut down (and might display "overload" on the screen).

Mine also says “overload” and there is smoke coming out of the rotor. Any ideas?

A few years maybe too late, but for anyone else who may stumble across this. Mine does this too. I found that if I FIRST - unplug the base, then remove the bottom and then the the plastic protective plate covering the motor the carbon brush has popped out. Once I push that back in everything is good to go until the next overload. Unless I am blending a really thick smoothie, it's not too often.
