I have a iphone 5 that dont charge
It died and i plugged it in like i normaly would but its stuck on the battery icon overnight and still not turning on
I have tried heating the battery and changing the charger port any help thanks

If the screen is showing that the lighting cable is connected and the battery will not charge or hold a charge i would say replace the battery! :)

Just to clarify the low battery screen should not show a plug lightning cable icon while the cable is plugged in. It should show the battery icon ONLY.
If it shows battery icon ONLY then it means the phone detects the charging cable and the charger is providing power successfully to the phone.
Which means like @vrqueen said, suggest replacing the battery.
