Backlight works partially after falling to the floor

My iPad Air 2 fell from a 5ft height. After that, some of backlights stopped working, so when I set my screen at max brightness some areas are illuminated but some are dark as well. Except for the backlight, the screen works perfectly as I can see all the image on the screen. This issue really deserves a screen replacement? Thanks in advance.

It looks to be an issue with the lcd. Unfortunately, they are quite high. Maybe you can find a repair shop that is welling to do a cheap diagnostic (installing another screen to test) to confirm this.

I went to a repair shop and they said it's an lcd issue. It's interesting they said this type of lcd issue is very common on devices that get wet, not for falling off.

Sorry for the late reply. I have seen it more with drops because of the lcd, which has the back light attached to it is very thin. Water damage can cause this as well as the water can partially burn out the back light. At any rate, replacing the lcd has always fixed this issue for me.
