Hi my customer have a cracked screen and home button that stopped functioning, can the home button be replaced using the buttons sold online?? I asked the seller of the button and he said the replacement but the Touch ID will disable. Is this true? Or should I send my customer to Apple?

Better send it to Apple for the moment, because once you use a third party button the iPhone will automatically disable all home button fonctions, iPhone 7 is different from previous generations.
Assistive touch will kick in automatically once it detects a malfunction of the button even with a new home button.
Lets hope with the next iOS update they (Apple) will let us replace this part>

Ok that's what I thought, Do you know how much apple charge for just the home button repair?

@soros As to your comment about Apple letting us replace this part: not a chance in !&&*, they want to force you to go to them for repairs.

Hey Nerdchikk,
Unfortunately, with Apple making it increasingly impossible to do home button repairs, you will not be able to replace the home button whatsoever. Once an iPhone 7 home button breaks, only the Geniuses can install a new one. If you can't figure out a way to get the original to work, you're out of luck.
