How do I recover/enable IMEI number?

I own a Sony Xperia E4g. It is rooted, the boot loader is unlocked and I've recently started experimenting with flashing custom ROM's and other things related to that. One morning I noticed my phone had no network coverage/signal and wasn't detecting my sim card. The setting that provides information about the phone, where my IMEI number was, is now a blank space.

How do I recover or enable the IMEI number so my phone has network/signal coverage and can identify my sim card again?

Any tips or suggestions will be much appreciated.

It can be the baseband I.c...

Doing software is not recommended... but if you want you can try it... try to connect with Sony companion( download from website) after download install and open the software chose option repair phone and follow the instructions... ur data will wipe( back up recomended)

Hi Toni,

If you would like to recover your IMEI number, simply dial *#06# on your phone and your number should appear immediately on your device's screen. In addition, some phones will have the IMEI number on the back of the phone if you cannot open and remove the battery (note: you might have to look very carefully because the text can be difficult to see). You can also try finding your number by navigating to your phone's Settings > About Device > Status.
