find diagnostic led´s on iMac

Thanks, we found this guide but we can´t remove the back cover. A guide from Apple-Service-Line wouldn´t tell me how because we let have do it by at an Apple-Service-Center.

Apple said: remove it like it showned in the guidebook - l looked but I can´t find nothing about it.

If we remove the 3 screws only the front bezel moves. Is there a special way to remove the back cover?

Lay a towel down and place the unit screen down. Remove the three screws from the bottom of the frame. Grasp the bottom of the stand and lift slowly. It should separate from the frame. If not then look on the bottom of the frame for the correct EMC number and tell us what it is.

If we remove the screws and lift the stand nothing happen with the back cover only the front bezel moves. The EMC is 2081.

On the isight model they changed the way it comes apart. Remove the ram door on the bottom of the unit and the front bezel pulls off from the front of the computer. On the back of the computer there is a groove that runs along the back of the unit. You need to take a plastic card, or credit card, apply pressure to the top of the bezel and starting on the left side there are latches, you need to get them to disengage. There is one on the right side as well. Once those disengaged, stand the computer upright and gently pull the bottom of the bezel and it should lift up. Do not completely remove the bezel yet, there are 2 cables, camera and a mic cable you need to disconnect to get the bezel off completely.

iMac G5 20" Model A1145 it is very similar to the 20" take apart.
