windows 10 accountname delted , still name in net user

Hi all,

A question :

i have a desktop pc and i need to activate the Remote desktop like i did on several other computers.

Only this one is difficult with the user name ( accountname..)

lets say the original account name was kevin i changed it in kevcomp1 .

It recognized the new accountname.. the only issue was when i started RDP and filled in the username and pasword it did'nt work.. when i tried the old name it worked.

I opend a session in shel ( or cmd it will be the same..)

and i tried to delete en add a new user ( same name ) ( tried to remove the old username..) i did this with the net user command.

i added a new useraccount, deleted the old one

restarted the pc

when i checked the net user command i still see the old name ....

with the other pc's this is not an issue in RDP .. only on this one ... did i do something wrong? already tried to renew al the steps i did in RDP ...

is the only option to make a total new account and add it to the administrator ( with localgroup command in net command) but i need to delete the first and original one to make RDP work

probabely i did something stupid but stil...

thanks for the help y' all :)

The "user's name" and the "username" are 2 different things.

Right click "My PC/My Computer" and select "Manage"

Find "User/Groups".

You will see there the true "username" where you can add/change/remove your accounts.
