How do I format a new hard drive?
I have just installed a new 160 GB hard drive into my I book G3 and do not have a user manual to format it can anybody help me
and i must say i'm new to mac.

Start up from your system installation disk by inserting the disk and holding down the "C" key on start up. Go to the second screen pull down menu to Utilities '> Disk Utilities, select the drive on the left and format it. Now you can install a system.
