Kenmore Heavy Duty Dryer shuts off mid cycle

I have a Kenmore dryer that decided to stop during mid cycle. I checked the thermal fuse as this is a typical problem. Upon finding the thermal fuse it had been bypassed already, so I ruled that out. I also checked the door switch, start switch and all are working. It will work once it cools down, but then when it heats up, it's stops during mid cycle. So, Then I thought it might be the motor, which was covered in lent, so I removed the tube, and vacuumed everything to include the lent tube. Put all back together and to my surprise is turned on, then again cut off during mid cycle. Any clue as to what it might be now.

I have changed the element that was bad, I also changed the thermal cutoff, thermal fuse, high limit thermostat. The dryer cuts off during the normal cycle, but runs on timed drying cycle which is higher heat than normal. I ready to throw the thing out the door. Already spent $100.00 on parts, PLEASE HELP ME. KENMORE DRYER

I think there must be restrictions on air flow that is causing the sensors to think there is still moisture in the air and keeps the heating element hotter than it should which is why it is shutting off.

Try getting once of those dryer vent hose cleaning kits and make sure there is not lint build up on the hose all the way to the end of the exhaust.

Sounds like someone had your problem before. That is extremely dangerous to bypass the fuse. That's a good way to start a fire. When you replace the fuse also replace:

Cause 1

High Limit Thermostat

The high-limit thermostat monitors the dryer temperature and shuts off the burner if the dryer overheats. If the high-limit thermostat is malfunctioning, it may shut off the burner even if the dryer is not overheating. However, this is rarely the case. Before replacing the high limit thermostat check all the more commonly defective parts. If you have determined that all of the other components are working properly, test the thermostat by using a multimeter to test it for continuity. If the thermostat does not have continuity, replace it.

Cause 2

Cycling Thermostat

The cycling thermostat cycles the heat on and off to regulate the air temperature. If the cycling thermostat is defective, the dryer will not heat. However, this is rarely the case. Before replacing the cycling thermostat check all the more commonly defective parts. If you have determined that all of the other components are working properly, test the thermostat by using a multimeter to test for continuity. If the thermostat does not have continuity, replace it.
