I mean, I have my gaming pc specs in the about me section. if you want to take a look just click on my name. (although $1500 may be over budget. I was originally only planning to spend $500)

Hi, @diller, I suppose you are building your own PC, would recommend you to list out the components, e.g. power supply, computer casing you are using, etc.

Based on the requirement on

Minimum Rainbow Six Siege Closed Alpha PC Requirements:

OS: Windows 7, 8, 8.1, x64.

CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX-8120 Eight-Core.

CPU Speed: 3.3 GHz (Recommended), 2.6 GHz (Minimum)

RAM: 8 GB.

GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 670 or AMD Radeon HD 7970 / R9 280 X.

VRAM: 2 GB.

So I guess, your PC is sufficient on it, just that for future upgrades and your computer budget, either to get i7, better computer casing for airflow and better allowing graphic card to fit in, reliable power supply, e.g. seasonic, corsair, antec ... and maybe stretch to 16GB RAM, SSD for OS bootup is fine, you can add additional SATA HDD for misc data storage, for cost consideration.

That would 100% acceptable for RBS SIEGE. But as a Siege player. It doesn't take much to run it.

Right now I have a GTX 760 2gb and able to run high settings at 60fps but tend to go medium as the 60fps is more consistent. Other triple A titles are hard to run on it.

To get to the point, a GTX 1050 is about on par if not a little better than mine. I would recommend the GTX 1060 3GB Single Fan. It is about 200$ and not to much more money. I would use that SSD for your OS and maybe your favorite games but I would definitely get a 2TB-4TB HDD. There not much money and are PERFECTLY FINE. SSD'S are great but are so NOT worth the money for games. so get the HDD and SDD.

Im assuming you know you need more parts that but it should be fine, again I would get the GTX 1060 3GB... it has a little bit more VRAM and runs FAR BETTER than the GTX 1050 and 1050 TI! 1060 3GB is close to maxing your 1080p performance and will last you a while.

8GB of RAM is 100% PERFECTLY fine for gaming. There is NO game out there I can think of that needs more than that. You could have a game open and your web browser and still be fine. 16GB of RAM and so forth is more for people that run multiple tasks at the same time and do video/picture rendering.

The processor is fine but I would upgrade it after some time.

So to SUM it up. It would be average gaming setup. It would run Siege fine, and a lot of other games if optimized right! Siege looks GREAT but honestly doesn't take much to run it. But definitely recommend the GTX 10603GB and a bigger HDD to go with it!

Hope I helped!!!
