How can I fix my Moto X Pure Screen?

Hey Guys,

I cracked my Moto X Pure Edition’s screen and now I am wondering how to fix it. The touch is mostly unresponsive and the digitizer is badly cracked. The actual picture looks good exept there is an orangy discoloration where the cracks are. Should I purchase a digitizer or do I also need the lcd? The LCD is expensive so i’d like to get just the digitizer.

William molnar-brock use this teardown to get to your display assembly. It is a teardown not a guide so you want to proceed slowly and carefully. The LCD and digitizer are fused together. Unless you have the right tools and experience to remove the glass and re-adhere the new one to the display, replace the complete assembly. It will be more expensive but you will only have to do it once.

Got the ifixit OEM screen with frame. How do I transfer the strips of metal on the glass side that go roughly where the mouthpiece and earpiece are?
