PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE!!! dont think there is a solution to this problem. there are shops online who'll try to tell you and sell you "the power board"...but that will only set you back 6o to 80 bucks without solving the problem. i know because i tried 2 different ones. i am just junking my tv and NEVER buying a vizio again.. i suggest you do to.

This model has a known problem with poor solder joints on the connector that goes to the inverter board. If you open up the back and have the power board on your left, the connector will be in the upper right side of the power board going to the board on the right of the power board. Try removing this power board and soldering the connections as described.

Update this with the results. If this does not resolve it, further instructions will follow.

I wish there was a way to post a photo of the 16 pin connector. All needed re soldering.

Had the same problem don't know the nomenclature of any the parts but it is the wireless connection between two boards remove the board the house current goes to, the unwired connection plug to the next board most likely needs the solder remelted. I redid only the 4 that looked bad. Cost of time saving price of new TV for now

VIZO P702ui-B3 If off for more then a few hours the led (lowed left corner) lights. but no picture.

If power cycled 2 or 3 time it turns on normally.

I would first look at the power board. After repeated attempts to start, you indicate that it works normally. This is usually an indication that the power supply is not providing sufficient power for the set to start or that the DC voltage supplied has too much AC ripple in it and the system is confused enough to prevent startup. Marginal capacitors in a power supply can cause this. As a start, open up the set and look for any cylindrical parts that have rounded tops. Capacitors usually have flat tops and when starting to fail or completely failed will often bulge at the tops.

If you can replace the caps, that may resolve the problem. If you can't replace the parts, replace the entire supply.

Thank you, I can put a scope on the power supply, do you know how much ripple is OK, 10mV? 20mV?

Forgot to add, on first turn on audio works, but no pix.
