Turns on then shuts off halfway through boot,
It will boot to the apple logo. Stay for about 15 seconds then shut off like I never turned it on. Wont recognize on iTunes. Thanks!

Have a feeling firmware on phone is corrupt.
Plug the phone to computer while holding home button.
Keep holding home button until it shows the iTunes recovery mode logo.
Try update through iTunes. If error -27 is displayed I'm afraid you will need to restore the iPhone and lose all data.
Phone will kick out of recovery mode after 5 minutes so if the download takes too long put the phone into recovery mode again.

The problem is that it will not recognize in iTunes. Even doing the following.
