replacing shattered front glass

Hi, I am tasked with repairing a model with a totally shattered front glass. It was so bad that the suction cups would not work, I ended up having to chip it off one small piece at a time. Scraping/chipping the glass shards/glass dust from the edges was the worst. The good news is that it is done and the LCD looks good.

My question: As long as the edges are cleaned of excess adhesive and the LCD is ok, is the replacement glass offered from the iFixit store all that I need to complete the repair? I see that the adhesive is included, any trick to the application? Thanks in advance.
