will not boot grey screen, fans spinning loudly
I have followed the guide from ifixit to replace my MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Mid 2009 Upper Case. I followed everything very carefully. I am a very technical person and do lots of IT support in my job. I have followed the guide and was able to do the swap under 2 hours. When I turned on my macbook pro all I get is gray screen and fans spins loudly. I have search and google all the forums with no luck.
Possible Problems that I assume that happened during swap.
1. I cannot perform any of the task such us. boot holding shift key. Hold c key. Hold cmd option p r. I kind of assume maybe I damaged keyboard cable during install. But I can boot the mac and i see power cable is connected with keyboard. So this is maybe.
2. Maybe I damaged harddrive cable. Therefore mac wont see harddrive and wont boot. But usually mac shows folder with question marks if it cant see the drives. I have 2 harddrives in my macbook pro. Since I cannot hold option key to see what drives it sees I cant verify that. Also putting in target mode doesn't work
3. Maybe I damaged motherboard. I highly doubt that but at this point i don't know what to do.
4. I have rechecked all cables like 5 times and they are all connected to mb.
Keyboard lights don't light up and I checked other macs during boot keyboard usually don't light up and caps lock also don't work.
I tried connecting external keyboard and it seems don't work ether.
Any suggestions or help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Why did you replace the top case? What happened?
I have 2 very playful cats they were running after each other and dropped my mac from the table. My top case bend near power button and lower part of the case was not aligning properly. Macbook looked crooked. I figure I can do the swap to give it another life. It did work however before the swap.
