Wont restart after driven no crank no start

Just had new tranny put in 2001 ford escape a week ago my shifter on column wouldnt come out of park had to manual overide with a hidden button on steering column cuz brake safety switch might be failing.now since that issue the thing randomly wont restart after i drive it for more than 15 minutes checked starter relay its fine even bypassed it to get my ford to start so i figure the issue is from starter relay to the steering column what could it be? Ignition switch seems fine does that brake safety switch have anything to do with my issue??turn key and nothing please help.
