Why is the screen I replaced on my LG G4 only displaying half a screen

My LG G4 screen got cracked so i wanted to replace its digitizer, i took out all the components and swapped them over to the new digitizer and the left half of my screen is displaying a black screen. I then swaped it over back to the old digitizer and the screen works fine it was just cracked, is the digitizer i bought faulty, touch sensitivity works fine on the black display

Sounds like you have a faulty digitizer that is causing the screen to be wonky. I would at least try a new screen and digitizer assembly to see if this behavior continues.
