iPod touch had water dripping on the front in the camper... fixable?

So my friend just gave me his 3rd gen iPod touch because his camper had a small dripping leak right on the front... from what i've read different places, it doesn't seem like it should be permanent, but I don't know how to know for sure or what to do!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

shaunlovesyou, just like anything else, try to really find out what is going on. The very first thing that I would do is to follow this guide Electronics Water Damage and clean it well. After you do that and replace the battery (my favorite) see what works and what doesn't and let us know. That way we can really help you with this. Good Luck and let us know how it is going.
