The power indicator light comes on, then off a few seconds later. No screen, sound, or backlight. Spending $200 when I can get new for $100 more doesn’t make sense. Parts are between $20 and $70 each. Anyone got any ideas on what’s causing this??

start by measuring the voltage on CN9101/9102 against the legend on your board. Let us know what those voltages are. Also, when posting pictures make sure that you post pictures of your boards. Pictures are meant to let us see what you see on your board, not stock images.

I found a youtube video.. as it turns out, a LOT of Vizio TVs with a power indicator light that turns on, then goes off a second or 2 later is a faulty EPROM chip, which is only $10. Also plenty of video clips showing how to remove old ones, clean the board, and install new ones.. I’d suggest typing “Vizio EPROM” into the searchbar and watching a few clips before attempting your own repair, maybe even experimenting on a junk piece a few times if you’re new to this.. I love this site. Finding ‘easy’ fixes to stuff, saving huge labor repair bills, and buying unnecessary replacement parts.. I’d also like to say “Shame on you Vizio. Installing cheap parts like this to force fill landfills is disgraceful.”

Yes I have fixed a few of these by replacing U202 on the back of the main board next to the heat sink.
My Vizio died tonight same symptoms.
The Eprom, Is it used for operational parameters of the set so when you replace it it automatically sets it up when necessary

I'm ordering a T-con board for mine. Hopefully it's the issue. I have the blank screen, light comes on them fades away. No volume. If T-con board doesn't work I'll try the Vizio EPROM. Thanks for all the Post.

Whats the status of your Vizio? Did the tconn fix the problem. I have the same issue. Measured voltages, and can watch them lower as caps are draining

And sometimes Facebook I removed mine after seeing a video on YouTube. Stuck in the oven let it cool down work for a couple of months. Baked it again work for a few hours. Bought the chip others talked about for $5 off eBay. Tedious soldering. I don't know if I messed it up soldering it or if II bake ruined it but hasn't worked again. There's also services on eBay where you can send this main card in. I'm waiting for a used one to become available. Pretty popular piece and I'm available.

Power light comes on then fades away then comes back on.
Sound did come on but it is time to my surround system.
