3 year old Vizio 55” TV died!
Our Vizio 55” died suddenly! I observed a bright white horizontal line across the center of the screen, then both the display and sound quit! It’s been a great TV, so we would rather repair than replace. Please offer any possible suggestions as to why the TV suddenly quit and if it may be repairable?

Was there a storm or power outage when this occurred?
Is there any indication that there is power on the TV i.e. is the status light on?
If not have you checked the power outlet that the TV is connected to to make sure it is OK?
If there is power to the TV, disconnect the power and remove the back cover and check for any obvious signs of damage (blown capacitors burnt out components etc) on the power board in theTV
