Audio speed is 2X?

This person in the Youtube video is having the same issue as me. The console's audio output is in 2-3x speed, doesn't matter if I try Nintendo's RF switch or AV cables. I've also tested the same cables on my NES/Gamecube and both work with no issues.

The sound goes back to normal if I leave the console powered off for a few hours, but after 5 or so minutes of gameplay it will suddenly sound sped up again, in the middle of a game. I've also noticed that the AC Adapter gets super hot after the console has been on for those 5 minutes. It is an SNS-002 adapter and the console is SNS-001 which is the correct pairing.

Does anyone know what's going on?
