Xbox One Wireless Controller (Model 1708)

Xbox One controller was introduced in 2016 with the launch of the Xbox One S and adds Bluetooth support for Windows 10/11. This controller fixes many of the design flaws found on the Model 1537/1697 controllers and is much more reliable. This controller has been replaced with the improved Model 1914 controller.

Menu buttons (two in the middle) stopped working, but everything else

My controller connects fine and the sticks, directional, and XYAB buttons work fine, but the two buttons in the middle suddenly stopped registering. Would cleaning and replacing the buttons help? Possibly need to touch up the solder on the board?

Hi I've also encountered this problem in alot of the xbox one controllers I've been repairing. I've tried different buttons, cleaning the board, and I've come to the conclusion that its a circuit board issue. I've seen it more common with the Kait GOW special edition controllers. I will be investigating this problem further. If anyone has an answer please respond.
