Can anyone tell me what this is? My phone popped this warning code up out of nowhere and I have never seen it before on any of the phones I've ever owned. Is my phone being hacked?

Hi @rachellparamo96

Try the following in case there is a virus or malware installed in the phone

Download and install an anti virus app- example only

Download and install an anti malware app -example only

When you have installed both the apps, re-start the phone in ''safe mode'' and then locate the AV app in the apps list and run it. Follow the prompts if it finds any viruses.

Once the AV app has finished, find and run the anti malware app and do the same. Hopefully between the both of them they will clear your system back to good health.

Have you installed any new apps lately?

I've just gotten the phone last month off someone so yes I have and I already had malware bytes on my phone because something felt fishy about my phone so my adopted dad has been using that antivirus software for as long as I can remember. But it hasn't found anything and I've got it on system auto scan daily. But oh and I've got the other one downloaded that you listed as an example and my phone is still in safe mode. The antivirus apps are greyed out along with most apps during this time in safe mode so should I turn safe mode off? If so how do I do that? I've got a Motorola Moto e5 cruise

Hi @rachellparamo96 ,

To get out of safe mode it should be just a matter of turning off the phone in the normal manner and then starting it again in the normal manner.

Do you still get the warning in safe mode?

If not then a downloaded app is the cause of the problem. The trick is to find out which one. You'll need to uninstall each downloaded app (start with newest first) one by one and then test the phone in normal mode between each uninstall. When it works OK with no warnings the last downloaded app that was uninstalled was the culprit.

Are you online when the warning occurs?

A quick search online regarding "One Signal" or One Signal Rest"( which is shown in the warning) seems to indicate that something is trying to establish contact with a server and has failed.
