Battery cycle count stuck
Hello!
I bought an used macbook a1342 with an 128gb ssd (samsung pro) and 16gb mushkin ddr3. The notebook looks in mint condition, but I have a battery problem. It's a replacement by Lavolta brand. Coconut battery shows 100% health and 60 cycles (i bought it 2 weeks ago with 54 cycles) and 6006 mAh. Manufacture date 15.06.2015 (4 years old…). On microsoft office, itunes music or stuff that doesn’t eat cpu or gpu it lasts ~3 hours, but on youtube it's less than an hour.
The biggest problem is that the cycle count is stuck at 60 for a full week now (coconut battery, battery health and system info), and i charged and discharged the notebook at least 5 times in this time. I tried SMC reset and PRAM, downgraded to El Capitan, nothing worked.
Can the battery smart chip be faulty? I used genuine 65 watts charger and 85 watts. For a week it worked fine, i made 6 cycles. And the last question, there is any risk?

I ordered an used genuine battery with 66 cycles to see if it's working good, i'll post the results here after i swap it in a few days. Thanks!

Real chargers from Apple aren't cheap, but you at least know they won't kill the system. It happens way too often with these 3rd party units.
If you must buy Apple chargers elsewhere, buy them used and check the feel of the cord - if it isn't right, it's fake.

Well i have 2 genuine chargers, one 65watts and one 85 watts, both in good shape. My main notebook is a 2011 mbp. What i don't understand at my 2010 macbook white is why the cycle count worked for a week and after that it got stuck. Maybe the battery got hot (it showed ~40° celsius when charging) and the low quality management board got fried? But still, it shows temperature, mAh and all the remaining stuff

I was just concerned you had one of those fake chargers that kill motherboards based on the things you mentioned. I see them disturbingly often and own 2 machines that got fried... These things genuinely scare me. Usually issues like this are because of bad BMS firmware or a problem with the one used.
I have an older MacBook here (2006 C2D) that was fried by those on my desk and is a total loss outside of parts. It's not going to kill me, but it's kind of sad it's probably too far gone.
