Distorted screen colours and shut down after a certain screen angle.

As the title says, my 3ds xl not only has weird colours when booted on but it shuts down instantly after i open the screen more than a 90 degree angle. I can open it just fine after that but that's it. This started happening 2 months ago. I suspect that it has to do with the ribbon cable but i want to find out for sure. Any links for a fix are appreciated. Thanks.
