MacBook won't log let me log into FaceTime nor iMessage with Apple ID

A couple days ago, I logged into my MacBook to see that both iMessage and FaceTime wanted me to log in with my Apple ID. I did so only to be greeted with “an error occurred during authentication” or just simply a loading/buffer symbol that would not go away.

I have tried everything, restarting the laptop, updating completely, checking that the date and time is correct, everything that the internet suggested, but nothing is working. I know that my Apple ID password is correct, as I can log onto my account via the internet, and I know my internet connection is working, but cannot for the life of me, get FaceTime or iMessage to work. I do not have any VPNs, proxies, nor firewalls up at the moment, as I took them all down to fix the problem, which it did not do.

Any help or advice you can offer is greatly appreciated.
