Hi Nibin,
1)What is the difference between cdma and gsm
CDMA and GSM are different bands. In the U.S.A. carriers like Verizon, and Sprint use CDMA bands, while the GSM band is global. CDMA phones, especially after paid after, will also work with GSM carriers. With Sprint, the account holder will have to call Sprint to unlock their device.
2)is it possible to use Indian sim cards in it
Yes, you can put an Indian SIM card in a CDMA/GSM phone alike, given the device is unlocked.
3)if the phone is locked to say Verizon, is it possible to unlock it and then use Indian sim cards.
Verizon automatically unlocks their devices once it has been paid in full if it was under an installment plan, so yes, you can put an Indian SIM card in them.
As for other websites, I won’t name any in particular but I’d recommend using your local marketplace and buying from people their, as most people will gladly get rid of old phones for cheap if they are useless to them.
