Any services available for Aluminum Display Housing replacement?

I'm consulting a colleague on possible MacBook Pro options for her dented and cracked glass MBP. The LCD appears un-cracked but the aluminum display casing is dented and the glass panel of the display is cracked. I had initially thought I had found a resolution with an online 1-day glass replacement service for ~$130. I had inquired about whether they could replace the casing which they noted was "all glued together" (which does not Jive with the ifixit guides). They noted that the glass replacement was not an official Apple-supported procedure but that they do provide the service.

When it came to the prospect of replacing the aluminum casing they declined, noting they could only replace the entire display assembly. As noted, this doesn't seem to jive with ifixit's guides which show that only the glass is adhered to the casing while the LCD can be unbolted and moved to another casing. All of that said, my questions are two-fold.

1) Is anyone aware of any servicers that do a non-Apple-supported procedure for the aluminum display housing replacement in a similar fashion to how various sites do the glass replacement?

I know that the casings are only available on ebay. It just seems daffy that these sites will go through all the work of pulling the glass and then be unwilling to do the casing switch if the LCD is in good shape.

2) Is the feedback I have gotten misleading about the internal LCD et al. being glued in? The guides on this site show that beyond the glass panel there does not appear to be any additional adhesives used for the LCD itself. The rep I spoke to made it sound as if the LCD is glued into the aluminum and that any attempt to remove it would break the LCD, which again, does not jive with this sites guides re: LCD replacement in the 13" MBPs.

TIA!

First please give us the last three figures of your serial number so we can identify EXACTLY which machine you have. There seems to be some confusion on this - therefor discrepancies in the guides
