Replaced dock assembly & battery. Speaker, mic, camera don't work.

I was giving a non-working 3GS 32gb by an associate, He said he got water in the dock connector and it wouldn't charge. I replaced the dock assembly and battery and it now charges and loads the OS. The speaker doesn't output sound, the mic doesn't pick up anything. If I connect headphones or phones with a mic. it does record sound and I can hear sounds. It appears to be correctly recognizing when headphones are attached. Also when I run the camera app, the camera app loads but I can't take a picture. I dissembled and checked connections a couple of times but no difference. When I reassembled it, I made sure the camera connector was seated.
