MacBook Pro not starting up

Hi all,

My Macbook Pro currently does not  start up.

So far I’ve tried:

  • Resetting the SMC
  • Resetting the NVRAM

The strange part about it is that when I first plug in my charger, there is no light. However, after around one hour of being plugged in a light will appear (green).

Stuck as what could be wrong with it. The issues with the charger started at the same time the Macbook stopped starting up.

If anyone has had this issue before or can give any suggestions as to what it could be that would be great.

Can you clarify this statement ? What are the issues with charger ? Have you tried an alternative one ?

The only issue is that the light doesn’t come on immediately when plugged in. It does come on after around an hour though.

I tried an alternative charger which did the same thing, suggesting an issue with the macbook itself.

@hjroa Have a look at the Dc in board to check its condition as first step. It seems a onewire issue, was an aftermarket charger ever used ?
