Camera died after fixing

I took this DMC-FX10 camera out of a drawer that was collecting dust and I wondered if the thing still worked. I charged its battery and it turned on but the lens was stuck. I took it apart and fiddled around with the lens and managed to fix the issue. I then forgot to put a screw in so I disassembled it again and screwed it in. This time it didn't turn on, it randomly died. Tried charging for a couple of hours but nothing. Anything I can do at this point?

Retrace your steps by dismantling it once more carefully. There must be something out of place or disconnected. Maybe the battery contacts or an internal wire connector. Look carefully for contact surfaces and ensure they are clean and making good contact.

Did it turn on at all after you fixed the lens and reinstalled the forgotten screw?

It did turn on after I fixed the lens (and worked fine) but it died after I placed the missing screw. Nothing seems to be broken or misplaced inside

Are you certain the screw is in it's proper hole? You might be able to remove the screw and leave it out if it is for some reason what is wrong.

No it's fine, in fact I tried turning it out without any screws, still not working

Do you have a multi-meter to test battery voltage? I would move on to this next since it was sitting for a while. Batteries don't last long after sitting.

Nope I don't have a multimeter, I left the battery charging for 4+ hours. The charger doesn't even charge it anymore because it's full
