Freezer door won't open. Repair guy said to defrost it. He thinks it's frozen shut. I found the code needed and put it into (L) defrost mode. It's been in that mode for 24 hours…water is coming out. ..door still won't open. How long can this take AND is this going to damage anything because it's constantly running in this mode?

I think you are going to loss everything in it anyway so I would just unplug it and let it defrost.

I originally did do it that way. I just left it unplugged but after about 3 days no water came out. So, that's when I plugged it back in and put it in the long defrost mode, now water is coming out. So, this is now three days with it plugged in and running on the defrost mode and still can't open the bottom freezer door.
@dorothy22 After that three days did you open it and mop up the melted water or did it just refreeze?
