I recently purchased a used vintage coat and have found that a harmless white dust sheds from the interior layer of fleece. After washing and vacuuming the jacket it seemed to be fixed but after a day the dust appeared again. Any ideas on what may be happening? Thanks.

Use lint roll ons on it and read the washing instruction, if any.

This is likely due to the waterproof lining that is applied either on the exterior shell or internal lining. Wash will actually make it worse. If it’s internal there is no fix. If yuh hold it up to bright light you should see the dust piled up inside! Kinda gross!
