3ds won't turn on but still charges

I spilled a little bit of soda on my 3ds and when i tried to turn it on if didnt turn on. Fast forward 3-4 years later i try to turn it back on to no avail but it still charges fine i removed the back plate, clean spots that had dry soda, and dried the button board on the back. It turned on hooray but then it wouldn't turn back off so i took out the battery and put it back. After i put the battery back the 3ds wouldn't turn on again and pressing the power button for 10 seconds does not work. I put in an sd card and it turned on once again, but with the same issue of not being able to turn off so i took the battery out and it wont turn on again.
