Realistic Stereo Band equalizer model 31-9081 Output LEDs gone crazy

I have a Realistic band stereo equalizer model 31-9081 .At switch on the LEDs output indicators stays on full red even without a signal.The machine output is otherwise OK .

Any help on what could possibly be causing this?
