Ssd is not shown in bios

Hi!

I just recently had windows crash and since then my pc does not open. At first it came until windows repair is loading screen but afterwards it didn't pass further than bios. I tried to plug out and in some parts including ssd but nothing helped. It seems that the bios does not recognize the sdd. I had so much valuable data for me on this ssd and I am so willing to save it. Does anybody have an idea what can I do? Thanks!

Hi @expelliarmus ,

Try installing the SSD as a secondary drive in another PC (desktop computer preferably as it's easier) to check whether the problem is with the drive or perhaps your laptop.

If you can read the data this way I suggest that you make a copy of your data before removing the SSD from the host computer just in case ;-)

It looks like your SSD is dead and recovering your files will be an impossible task as far as I know, to be sure, you need to plug it in a desktop PC and see if he can recognize it, avoid any further booting attempts to prevent additional damage.

Press and hold the F2 button  , then click the power button. DO NOT RELEASE the F2 button   until the BIOS screen display. go to exit and restore bios default setting. don’t worry, that don’t have nun to do with your files
