won't accept, eject , or recognize disc

so, I’ve already had the disc drive cleaned and replaced (supposedly) at a place called ubreakifixit. it worked for a little while but now it doesn’t again. and I am past the warranty expiration at the shop so if I take it back it will be another $130! and I still can’t use it to play any discs, tried all kinds of discs, none work. it won’t pull it in at all and the disc drive itself just doesn’t start up. am I looking at a motherboard problem? are there more issues with the ps4 slims vs ps4? (in case I need to buy a new one) I have also tried the reset from safe mode twice, so that doesn’t work either. any other suggestions?
