A question about compatibility between models

I have a 2015 Macbook pro with upper-end i7, full memory, and a good display adapter. Recently some liquid was spilled into the keyboard and now things are beginning to quit, like one of the USB ports for example. The display also has a crack in it. I was wondering if the memory, processor, or display adapter would be compatible with newer MBPro’s? I was thinking about buying a newer model and then upgrading it.

Thanks!

It seems you picked the wrong reference model, as the Macbook A1534 you chose doesn’t have an i7 processor, nor “ports”, it’s got an Intel M Cpu and a single Usb-C port. However, if you have as I believe a 2015 Macbook Pro 13” , not a single part is compatible with following models, Cpu and Ram are soldered on the logic board, Ssd is different, screen is different, even the charger is different.

Thanks, arbaman. Of course, you are correct. It is an A1398. I had not looked before sending the request. My bad!

@Bill Wilson Not a problem at all. Unfortunately same thing goes with the big guy A1398 too, everything is soldered on the board.
