Hello, I would like to know if the fact that the cam pulley, the belt and the belt tensioner is damaged, do I absolutely have to change the water pump? I have a 2007 Cadillac DTS.

Replace rather than take the chance that the pump is also damaged.

its best practise to as you will have another pointless large bill from a garage before the belt and anything else will need doing again. never known a garage to not do it at the same time.
