I replaced the battery on my Macbook Pro. Got the battery from ifixit brand new in March but didn’t replace it until yesterday 1/5/2020.
Installed properly and charged it up, but even though it shows 100%, it also says change battery immediately. If I unplug the cable then the computer shuts down as if no charge.
Any help or comments would be appreciated.

In general, Li-ion battery loses capacity *even* if it is not used. Really - it loses capacity. Did you store the battery in a cool place (around 20 °C)? or was it lying exposed to sun/cold?

Depending on who's battery the Andrew bought they may have a warranty which is what I would checkout and take advantage.
But, before going down that path I would check the battery and the charging logic to be sure the issue is the battery.
Besides, having something that shows the issue is more useful when going after a replacement!
