Two games were put into the Wii. Now what?

My 4 year old son put two games into our Wii. Now we are to use the Wii because the it is unable to read the disc.

When you put a game in, the message reads, "An error has occured. Press the eject button and remove the dise, then turn the Wii console off and refer to the Wii Operations Manual for help trouble shooting." We have followed the steps listed in the operations manuel, but can't seem to get the Wii fixed, or move past this message.

Has my optical drive gotten messed up as a result of the two games? If so, where can I get another one? Where can I take it to be repaired? Thanks for the help

You have two real options to fix the problem. You can take the DVD drive apart and remove the discs if you're comfortable with this. This is your best option in regards to removing the games. If you take it apart, follow this guide to open the console and drive.

Some people report shaking it helps, too. It may not work, and isn't the best idea but it could work to free the game, too. As mentioned by pollytintop, hold the console upside down, and do this on carpet so the games fall gracefully.
