OK for CPU Temp to reach 355 F (Core i7)?

Hi, I have a problem with my Micro$oft $urface. It is getting very hot (cpu temp goes all the way up to 355 degrees F with only ~10 min of light usage). I honestly hate this computer, I wish to get rid of it. Once it got so hot it literally burned me. When this computer gets hot, it’s usually accompanied by lag and slow mouse pointer movement. I checked in Resource Monitor and nothing in the background is slowing it down, so it is obviously a hardware problem. Fan is working fine, it is running like crazy but the CPU is getting too hot. I DO NOT EXPECT THIS FROM A $2000+ COMPUTER! I am not trying to fix it, just please tell me what could possibly be wrong. Thank you

Some parts would be close to liquid or on fire so the sensor must be malfunctioning.

This is bad data, 355 degrees is physically impossible, where did you get the temperature reading from?

If you don’t like the computer, why not just send it to me?

I think the sensor is malfunctioning, but the comptuer does get VERY hot to the touch within a few minutes of usage. I just use it for internet browsing, nothing else.

although your temps don’t look real, its obvious your tablet is overheating. Although the fan is running its possible that your heatpipe is faulty and not dispersing the heat properly. When it gets to hot, the CPU will “throttle” - it will get slower in an attempt to cool down - although obviously this isn’t working in your case.

It need repaired!

(but you knew that!)

That is extremely hot for a CPU. I would contact microsoft to see what they can do. Odds are they’re probably going to charge you to repair it but that’s ridiculous.
